Famous last words, of course.. Chris actually got the old shelving ripped out and the new cabinets up in about 24 hours, which was an awesome start to the project.
Uh… erm… um… not so much..But the potential is plentiful, and it is sweet.. We were given these white Adirondack chairs (Muskoka chairs, if you ask Chris) recently.

For our fire pit, which we were also given.Again, I ask, why am I so lucky?.This is a big deal, because, you see, these are my dream fire pit chairs.

I’ve been planning to have them around a fire pit for years and was hoping that at the end of the season one year when the time was right I’d have saved enough to buy a couple and even if they were a horrendous color, I would just paint them white myself.. Then one day, bam, here they are!.So of course my mind is racing with all the potential in this little area of the yard now.. Something about these chairs makes everything feel crisp and fresh, even in the middle of all the construction, or rather deconstruction, mess going on everywhere..

So many ideas right now….
paint the fire pit?So that’s pretty much what I’m doing.
It’s a wonder I’m writing this right now.I think one of them might be in the kitchen eating the cat’s food actually..
So I may have another week where balance in life means not working on this hall again, but finished or not, isn’t it lovely? It’s been a few weeks since I’ve taken you outside for a little tour, so I thought it was time for an update.. First of all, here’s the world out front..I won my little battle against the weeds in the path and we’ve trimmed up some of the hedges.
